About Me |
My name is Mehak Chawla and I am a recent Chemical Engineering and Medical Sciences graduate from the University of Cincinnati. I also earned an MBA with a focus in entrepreneurship. I am from the Cincinnati area and attended Lakota West High School. When my nose is not stuck in a book, I am drawing, crafting, helping out in the community, or sleeping.
My passion lies in creating a future that positively impacts the world. I want to build a career path that revolves around helping people. My family has taught and continues to teach me to value everything I have because some do not have it as well as I do. I carry this with me everywhere. By doing well in school, I can pursue a career that focuses on the betterment of others, whether it be directly or indirectly. Along with my family, my group of friends (the United Nations) continues to have an immense impact on me. In seventh grade, we were all apart of different groups. However, as the year went on, one by one, we gradually became friends, either by association through friends or sharing classes. These ladies have been apart of my life for nearly a decade. We all have instilled values in each other that many other friend groups do not. We build each other up and scold each other as needed. They are an extension of my family and hold as much importance in my life as my family does. With graduation coming up, I am leaving campus having developed a stronger identity of who I am as well as created a lasting impact on myself, others, and the university while achieving academic greatness all while exploring my numerous passions. I plan to take the lessons I learned about self-confidence and taking more risks to my future endeavors at medical school and beyond. |
